It is already known that producer turned actor Udhayanidhi Stalin is currently working on his next project, 'Nenjukku Needhi'. This movie is an official remake of the 2019 Hindi film 'Article 15', which received critical acclaim for voicing out against the social injustice faced by the people of the downtrodden community.

Udhayanidhi is reprising Ayushman Khurrana's role from the original version. Boney Kapoor is bankrolling the production, which is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj, who garnered critical praise for his debut movie 'Kanaa' starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role. The film's teaser, which was launched recently, was appreciated by the fans and audiences.

The shooting has been completed and post-production is in full swing. It was earlier reported that the team had planned to release 'Nenjukku Needhi' in March. But according to our sources, the makers are eyeing a release in May 2022. 'Nenjuku Needhi' was named after former chief minister M Karunanidhi’s autobiography.

The movie also stars Aari Arjunan, Tanya Ravichandran, Shivani Rajashekar, Yamini Chander, Suresh Chakravarthi, Ilavarasan, Mayilsamy, Abdool lee, Ratsasan Saravanan, Ramesh Thilak, Sayaji Shinde, and Antony. It has music by Dhibu Ninan Thomas with Dinesh Krishnan handling the camera and Ruben taking care of the editing.
