After turning as a action hero with his latest film 'Gethu', actor Udhayanidhi Stalin is presently acting in 'Manithan' which is his first remake film. This film is the Tamil remake of Bollywood super hit 'Jolly LLB' and the film is being directed by I.Ahmed of 'Endrendrum Punnagai' fame. The film is being produced on a grand scale by Udhay under his Red Giant Movies banner.

'Mountain' is a courtroom drama dealing with social political issues and the script is loosely based on true incidents. Udhayanidhi plays a lawyer in this film.

Hansika is the female lead in this film while Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rajesh and Vivekh have acted in prominent supporting roles.

The film has musicals core by Santhosh Narayanan, who has given four songs for the flick. Madhie cranks the camera.

The art direction for this film highly challenging as they had a replicate the Madras High Court and a street in Mannady a locality in Chennai with complete details. Selvakumar the art director seems to have done a brilliant job in this regard and these sets will be highly realistic that the audience wont be able to identify them as sets.
