Pretty Ugly!

After the tremendous success of `Pyaar Ke Side Effects' , Pritish Nandy brings you the sensuous Mallika Sherawat yet again. Indeed since Pritish Nandy previous flick had many hit numbers , there is much riding on composer Anu Malik who replaces Pritam.

The album opens to Hard Kaur's English-Punjabi lines indicating the intoxication that a woman undergoes while partying. `Talli' is soon taken over by Mika and Anu Malik's daughter-Anmol. The track has some witty lyrics by Amitabh Verma who has been accredited the entire album.

The remix version has Hard Kaur and Anu Malik behind the mike and is sure set to hit all discos.

`Karle Gunnah' opens with Ishq Bector doing his reggae bit followed by Anushka Manchandani adding the Punjabi flavor. The promos of the song are already creating the necessary buzz by the skimpily clad Mallika Sherawat. On the musical front, the song offers nothing new and becomes monotonous.

`Yeh Nazar' takes off very much unlike an Anu Malik composition with Sunidhi Chauhan behind the mike. Shaan too joins in mid way. The track takes off well but dips and is a mediocre sounding tune. Some good visuals might work in favour of this number.

Anu Malik gets a Spanish with `Aa Nachle , Shut Up'. Anu renders to a carnival filled track by even giving in a line or two in spanish. Vasundhra Das adds her bit to the Spanish song that eventually draws in some Punjabi beats. The track is a complete letdown and draws inspiration from Alisha Chinoy's Album `Shut Up N Kiss Me' which in turn has been inspired from Black Eyed Peas.

Mohit Chauhan of the silk route fame who was recently behind `Tumse Hi `from `Jab We Met' comes in towards the end of the album with `Yaad Teri Aaye'. Mohit provides the serenading effect of one's longing for his/her loved one and provides for some good listening in solitude. The track is pretty good and concludes well.

The album sums up with only `Talli' along with its numerous versions and `Yaad Teri Aaye' leaving behind a mark.
