Pawan Kalyan arrived this morning (IST) in London to be there as the chief guest at the United Kingdom Telugu Association (UKTA) cultural event. To be held at Troxy Theatre, East London, about 2000 Telugu NRI families are expected to turn up for the event. This is for the 6th Annual Day of the association.

Powerstar is there to "encourage the Indian dance art of Kuchipudi and the 45 member troupe which has successfully toured many countries in Europe this year." He is also there to boost the morale of and appreciate "the organizers for their effort to promote traditional Indian (especially Telugu art forms) internationally." It will be interesting to see Pawan's interactions with the artistes.

"At this Pawan's maiden participation in a major event in the UK, Pawan will felicitate all the artistes from Kuchipudi Natyaaraamam. Popular Kuchipudi performers Smt. Maddali Usha Gayatri, Smt. Srikalaa Jwaala, Smt. Vanaja Uday and their students will be felicitated. Besides these, the popular folk singer from Telangana Vaddepally Srinivas of 'Gabbar Singh' fame, will be felicitated along with his team," the organizers say. The popular dance forms like Yakshagana will be played on the stage.
