U Kodathara Ulikki Padatara underwent today Censor formalities. It was awarded with U/A. The Manchu Manoj-Balakrishna starrer is slated to release on July 27. It was to clash with DCM, but the latter has since been deferred to Aug 15.

There is a curiosity about the subject matter of the film. People are wondering whether it is a mass entertainer or a fantasy, the makers say. The title has, from the beginning, had a ring of comedy to it.

Deeksha Seth, Panchi Bora, Sonu Sood, Prabhu, Rishi and others are part of the cast. Cinematography is by Rajsekhar. Music is by Bobo Sashi. Sekhar Raja the director has been in for praise from Mohan Babu and Balakrishna.

After the flops in the form of Jhummandi Nadam and Mr. Nookayya, Manoj has pinned his hopes on this film. UKUP will be released in Tamil as Varuvan Thalaivan.

When Gollapudi's short story, Kallu, received wide literary awards, it must have occurred to many that it be translated on to the celluloid. In the end, someone did. It was MV Raghu, a noted cinematographer of that era. Kallu the film, released in 1988, completes 25 years as of today.

Kammula's LB film satellite sells for Rs. 3.5 cr

Shekar Kammula's films have a wide television-watching section. His film like Anand, Happy Days and Leader, are said to register impressive TRPs. Given this, it is not surprising that Life Is Beautiful’s satellite rights have got sold for Rs. 3.5 cr. The rights have been bagged by MAA TV.
