Kamal Haasans visionary speech about Tamil Nadu at Harvard

Kamal Haasan made an imposing figure wearing the traditional Tamil attire of "Veshti" at the prestigious Harvard University and his speech spelled out clearly his vision for the state in his journey as a politician which begins from the 21st of February.

Kamal opened his discourse stating that he comes from Tamil Nadu which boasts of the oldest language, rich in cultural heritage, pioneer of architecture and international commerce, upholder of social justice and other innumerable achievements.

Kamal lamented that though he is proud of the unity in diversity of India, its current state of affairs is far from satisfying and feeling that change in iniminent he has decided to foray into politics.  As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, Kamal said that  the current politicians do not work for the people and their welfare schemes lack vision and the public money is wasted away due to lack of vision.  His primary goals is to provide proper education, welfare to the downtrodden, providing employment opportunities and strive for justive to wronged people.

Kamal announed that as a first step of his political journey he would be adopting one village from each of the districts of Tamil Nadu and turn it into a growth module that can stand as an example in both the state and the center of what he has in mind.   He also emphasized that immediate action is what is necessary and simply sitting on a chair and speaking politics is not his style.

Kamal made it clear that he draws inspiration from the Cheran, Chozhan and Pandian rulers who nurtured Tamil language and gave the people a clean existence.  The Ulaganayagan is also practical in understanding that winning and losing in the electoral politics is a reality but that he is ready to learn as he strives hard to give the Tamil people a clean governance.
