We had reported just yesterday that Kannada superstar Upendra's Karnataka Pragnayavantha Janata Party was heading for a split as problems arose between him and his second in command over the latter taking money for assembly seats. After consultations with his supporters for close to twenty hours Upendra called for a press meet in Bengaluru and has announced that he is quitting the party he started five months ago.  The superstar added that he wanted to turn the KPJP as massive unit on par with the national parties but his dream has been busted by others.

Upendra however assured that keeping in mind the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections he is going to start a new party Prajagya Paksha (People's Party) and would contest.
