Director and Actor Vijay Kumar had made his debut way back in 2016, with the hard hitting political drama Uriyadi, which also starred Mime Gopi, Henna Bella and a number of newcomers, and the movie was critically acclaimed as one of the well made political thrillers.

Now, the team is gearing up for the sequel to the movie, Uriyadi 2, which will again be directed by Vijay Kumar who also play the lead role in the movie, and the sequel which will not be the continuation of the original but remain a soul sequel will also star Vismaya and Sudhakar in important roles.

Produced by actor Suriya's 2D Entertainment, Uriyadi 2 has music by 96 and Seethakaathi fame Govind Vasantha and the songs released so fa have been received well. Now the latest buzz is that Uriyadi 2 might be scheduled to hit screens on April 5, and an official announcement might be expected soon.
