Famous award-winning singer arrested after being accused of rape

US singer Chris Brown has been arrested and detained in Paris after a 24-year-old woman accused him of raping her at his hotel room.
The incident reportedly happened on the night of January 15 at Brown's hotel suite after the victim went along with the singer from a nightclub, where she was allegedly raped by him, along with his friend and a bodyguard, who also face charges.
The singer remains in custody while the police are investigating the matter. Brown was convicted in 2009 of assaulting singer Rihanna, who was then his girlfriend.
Chris Brown has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Grammy for ‘Best R&B Album’ in 2012.
