UTV Movies surging ahead

For the movie buffs their days can't get better. The numbers of channels devoted exclusively for movies are only increasing.

UTV Global Broadcasting Ltd (UGBL) which is the broadcast arm of UTV Software communications Ltd already have three exclusive movie channels operating keeping every kind of movie lover satisfied.

Bindass Movies is for the people who like to see hear the dialogues of Hollywood film in Hindi. World Movies gives pleasures to the watchers of World cinema and UTV Movies devoted entirely to the buffs of Bollywood.

The Hindi cinema channel launched on February 24 has in this short time itself cornered its fair share of followers. June and July will be the months for the movie lovers to feast their eyes on a couple of recently released films through UTV Movies.

On 6th June 'My Name is Antony Gonsalves' will be premiered in the channel's Shan-E-Sukravar slot at 8.30 pm.

On June 27th, the new film 'Sirf' starring K.K.Menon, Manisha Koirala, and Praveen Abbas will be telecasted just within two months of its release. June will see the premier of 'Halla Bol' having Ajay Devgan and Vidya Balan in the lead roles

17 popular films released in the past years also have been bought through the syndicate route from Star plus by UTV Movies. These movies are 'Jhankar Beats', 'Jism', 'Hu Tu Tu', 'Hazaro Khwaishein Aisi' among others.

More recent hit films like 'Aap Kaa Surror' 'Life in a Metro', 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' have already been shown on the channel.

The channel is in the process of buying the rights of more and more movies to add to its cinema bank.

So in the coming months missing out on a popular movie will become a thing of the past. As the movie channel wars will start showing its full power, the greatest beneficiaries are the film lovers who get to watch the newly released movies just within a short time of their release.
