UTV's 'Vettai': Status quo

Ever since the trailer of ‘Vettai’ released, fans have gone gaga over it due to the sleekly packed teaser and the coming together of an interesting star cast. The latest is that the film has two songs pending to be canned which will be shot in Dubai and Rajamundry, for which the team will leave tomorrow.

With these two song shoots, the shooting will be wrapped and the post-production work will take place at a brisk pace. Sources close to the unit reveal that the songs will release in the second week of December. Music has been scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

‘Vettai’ brings back to us the hit ‘Run’ combo of director Lingusamy and Madhavan. Arya, Madhavan, Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy play the lead roles in this film where Maddy will be seen as a laidback cop and Arya aka Jammy as his brother.

The film is touted to be a Pongal 2012 release.
