For years many including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have tried to bring Amitabh Bachan to Tamil cinema but it never materialized. It finally came to fruition for S.J. Surya who is costarring with the legend in a new movie 'Uyarndha Manithan' directed by Tamizhvanan. Rumors started spreading that the project is stalled because Amitabh is unhappy with the way its progressing.

S.J. Surya has clarified on the issue with a statement that reads "There is a small issue between the production company and Big B Saab .... will sort it out and take it forward.... after monster release I will go to Mumbai to sort out those issues and take it forward... Myself and dir Tamilvaanan have already sorted so many issues to take it to this stage... where we got the great tweet on the 3rd day of the shoot from big B Saab out of love and respect for our work .... ignore negativity.."

S.J. Surya's new film 'Monster' directed by Nelson Venkateshan and costarring Priya Bhavani Shankar and Karunakaran is hitting the screens worldwide on May 17th.
