Suriya and Vetrimaaran's 'Vaadivaasal' is one of the upcoming Tamil film projects that carries huge expectations ever since it was announced a few years back. The Jallikattu based epic has seen several delays due to various reasons even though a test shoot has been done with hundreds of bulls. Suriya is continuing to train with the ones that he will be performing with while the CG works is also simultaneously taking place in UK.
We broke the news long back to you that actor-director Ameer will be playing a major character in 'Vaadivaasal'. Director Vetrimaaran has confirmed the same in a recent press interaction. He also revealed that he cast Ameer since the story is set in Ameer's hometown and he will get inputs regarding the authenticity of the bull fight sequences and local language.
It is worth noting that Ameer and Suriya are reuniting after more than twenty one years since 'Mounam Pesiyadhe' which the former directed released in 2002, directed by Aamir. Vetrimaaran also confirmed that 'Vaadivaasal' will go on floors after he completes his Vijay Sethupathi-Soori starrer 'Viduthalai 2'.
Suriya on the other hand is currently on the verge of completing 'Kanguva' directed by Siruthai Siva following which he will act in 'Suriya 43' directed by Sudha Kongara and 'Suriya 44' directed by Bollywood filmmaker Rakeysh OmPrakash Mehra.
