Exciting news for Suriya fans! Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu has shared a promising update about the much-anticipated film Vaadivasal, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Suriya in the lead. The film, which has been in the pipeline for a while, is now moving closer to production.

In a recent interview, Kalaipuli Thanu revealed that discussions regarding the shooting schedule have been progressing well. “A few weeks ago, Vetrimaaran and I visited Suriya’s house and met his brother to finalize possible dates. Later, Suriya met with Vetrimaaran separately to discuss shoot dates,” he said.

Thanu also shared that Vetrimaaran and music director GV Prakash have already composed and recorded a song for the film — a strong sign that pre-production is in full swing. Based on the current progress, the team is aiming to release Vaadivasal in April or May of 2026.

Suriya is currently shooting for Suriya 45, directed by RJ Balaji, and is expected to move on to Vaadivasal once that project wraps up.
