Both the Independence Day releases Vaalu' and Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga' has a lot of hope pinned on them by those involved in the films. For Simbu it is his comeback after three long years and will be hoping to cement his place as a leading star with Vaalu'. For director M. Rajesh VSOP' is again a crucial comeback after delivering a dismal flop All in All Azhagu Raja' and his reputation as a frontline romcom director is at stake .
Both the films have the ever dependable Santhanam as the lead comedian and the makers will wish that his humor works out as that would be a major factor in turning the films into hits. VSOP' has Arya playing a diehard fan of Ajith, thus ensuring the huge Thala mass patronage.
