Vetrimaaran confirms 'Vada Chennai 2' and reveals when the shoot will start

The Dhanush and Vetrimaaran combo has regularly given some of the most memorable films to Tamil cinema. The duo's gems are 'Polladhavan', 'Aadukalam', 'Vada Chennai' and 'Asuran' and have also worked as producers for 'Kaaka Muttai' and 'Visaranai'.

On Saturday the grand audio launch of Dhanush's new movie 'Thiruchitrambalam' produced by Sun Pictures was held in Chennai. When Vetrimaaran came up on the stage the crowd continuously changed Vada Chennai 2. The intense filmmaker then announced on stage that he is currently doing Vijay Sethupathi's 'Viduthalai' after which he will move on to 'Vaadivaasal'.

Vetrimaaran then confirmed that his next project after the above mentioned two films is going to be with Dhanush. Fans roared in delight as they took it as the official word for 'Vada Chennai' sequel aka 'Vada Chennai : The Rise of Anbu' happening.

'Vada Chennai' an epic gangster saga was released to wide critical acclaim in 2018 and went on to become a big money spinner as well. The film had music by Santhosh Narayanan and the ensemble cast of Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Daniel Balaji and Ameer.
