The first part of ‘Vada Chennai’, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Dhanush, Ameer, and Samuthirakani, received a huge positive response. Since the story of the film remains incomplete, speculation arose that a sequel would be made soon. Vetrimaaran has discussed this possibility in various interviews and events.

Recently, reports surfaced claiming that Manikandan will act in ‘Vada Chennai 2’, with Vetrimaaran producing and Karthikeyan, his former assistant director, helming the project. These reports surprised many.

However, upon verification, sources clarified that there is currently no project titled ‘Vada Chennai 2’. It was also confirmed that Manikandan will act in a film directed by Karthikeyan and produced by Vetrimaaran. However, this film is not a sequel to ‘Vada Chennai’.
