Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu who has given a lot of joy to the audiences through various films and in the modern world through memes as well has been embroiled in controversy for the past few years. Director Shankar had signed the evergreen comedian for a whopping salary to star in 'Imsai Arasan 24 aam Pulikesi' the sequel to 'Imsai Arasan 23 aam Pulikesi'. After a few days shoot in 2017 Vadivelu walked out of the sets due to creative differences with director Chimbu Devan and the film has been stalled since then.

Vadivelu refused to cooperate with Shankar and Lyca Productions for any kind of compromise and in a recent interview had used inappropriate words to address Shankar and Chimbu Devan which has angered the filmmaking fraternity. It has now been decided to take legal action against Vadivelu and claim back a huge amount that has been paid to him as remuneration and compensation for the losses incurred.

News is trickling in that Vadivelu is not keen to contest the case in court and has arrived at a decision to reach out for a compromise with the producers and director. However it is unknown whether Shankar and the others will accept the Vadivelu's truce or go ahead with the action.
