Vakeel Saab: Here are highlights of Pawan Kalyans speech

At the pre-release event of 'Vakeel Saab', Pawan Kalyan spoke at length and wowed his fans by pouring his heart out.

"My heart beats for the country and for my fans. I have not been conscious about not having a movie release for three years. It has been 24 years since I entered the film industry. I didn't know how all these years have passed," Pawan began saying, adding that he feels happy to have got to work with a producer like Dil Raju. "He ventured into distributing 'Toli Prema' just when the poster of my movie was released. Since then, he has supported a number of my films as a distributor," the Jana Sena chief said.

True to his style, Power Star referred to an inspiring poem written by Guntur Seshadri. He appreciated director Venu Sriram, who is the son of a tailor. "I am the son of a constable. I value the dignity of labour," Pawan added. "This is not an opportunity I gave him. He earned it through sheer dint of hard work and because of his talent," the actor added.

"I have always wanted to be an anonymous life. I wanted to be nothing more than a middle-class guy. It's a wish that has remained unfulfilled in life," Power Star said. When his fans raised 'CM CM' slogans, he said that he doesn't pine for it.

He recalled Chiranjeevi's words from decades ago. "When I was going on a spiritual path, he advised me to talk spiritual language after achieving something in life. It's his words that drove me to become an actor and a politician. Karma Yoga is what I believe," Pawan said.

Getting political, he referred to the legendary Nani Palkhiwala. He also talked about Bhuvanagiri Chandrasekhar, a lawyer who fought a legal case when Dalits were massacred in Chundur. "He was on the death bed after being cancer-stricken. Even in such a situation, he fought for justice. I have immense respect for lawyers who fight for human rights. I feel fortunate that I have got to play a lawyer on screen," Pawan added.

"I have worked harder for this film, especially to get the dialogue-delivery right. Prakash Raj garu playing the defense lawyer has lent the film extra charm. When you act with a solid performer, your performance gets elevated. I may have political differences with him, but when it comes to cinema, we are one. I like him as an actor. He is a great actor," Pawan said.

"Some people think that I am arrogant. Why would I be arrogant. Even this body is not mine. It belongs to the five elements. When I live in my own world, people think I am being arrogant," the 'Hari Hara Veeramallu' actor said.

"When those who run 'pekata' centres can become MLAs, why should I not earn by doing films? I do films so I don't need unethical money. My doing films creates livelihood opportunities for thousands. I earn money and give back to society," Pawan added. He assured his fans that he will never stop doing films.
