The coronavirus spread has stopped the functioning of all businesses including the movie and entertainment space for the past two months.   As far as Kollywood is concerned partial functioning has started after the government permission and the post-production works of major movies such as Vijay's 'Master', Kamal's 'Indian 2', Nayanthara's 'Mookuthi Amman' and others have resumed.

Thala Ajith's fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the much expected 'Valimai' and every other day they are trending a hashtag on Twitter worldwide for the film.  Industry insiders have now revealed that Ajith's first concern is the safety of each and every cast and crew member.  The mass hero is said to have communicated to the producer Boney Kapoor and director H. Vinod not to start any work till normalcy returns.

According to these reports 'Valimai' which was previously planned for April 2020 release and later shifted to Diwali will now be pushed further ahead to Summer 2021.  No one's complaining here as Thala Ajith's decisions are always based on the good of all concerned.  Fans though disappointed are ready to accept their idol's decision knowing that any day his films arrive they invariably break box office records and create new collection history.

'Valimai' has music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah.  The known cast apart from Ajith are Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya and Yogi Babu.
