'Valmiki' gets Censor, locks long run-time

'Valmiki', starring Varun Tej in the lead, is all set to hit the screens tomorrow (Friday). Directed by Harish Shankar, it will clash with Suriya's 'Bandobast'.
The news is that the film has got U/A from Censor Board. As for the run-time, it's 173 minutes. The length is because of the content. The 173-minute-long duration is despite the fact that there are only four songs in the movie and the fights are fewer, says the director.
A gangster comedy also starring Atharvaa Murali, Pooja Hegde, Mrinalini Ravi and Dimple Hayathi, its music is by Mickey M Meyer. Atharvaa plays an aspiring filmmaker. Brahmaji, Sathya, Brahmanandam and others are part of the cast.
