Valmiki's Pooja Hegde as Sridevi

Valmikis Pooja Hegde as Sridevi

Pooja Hegde apparently has a village girl's role in the upcoming movie, 'Valmiki'. Director Harish Shankar has cast her as Sridevi, whose Frist Look introduces her as a bicycle-riding, typically traditional girl. "From our hearts to yours. Bring you Sridevi," says the 'Maharshi' actress.

The remake of 'Jigarthanda' (Tamil) stars Varun Tej as a gangster, while Atharvaa Murali plays a filmmaker. This one has been produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta of 14 Reels Plus.

Music is by Mickey J Meyer, while cinematography is by Ayananka Bose.

The crime comedy releases on September 13, clashing with Nani's 'Gang Leader'.
