Valmiki: Release date made official

Director Harish Shankar is wielding the megaphone for Mega hero Varun Tej's 'Valmiki'. The 'F2' star will be seen in a negative role in this one. Tamil hero Atharvaa Murali, Pooja Hegde and others are part of this 'Jigarthanda' (Tamil) remake.

The news is that the flick will hit the screens on September 6. A pre-teaser will be out soon. Till now, 50 percent of the shoot has been completed.

There were unconfirmed rumours that the 'Maharshi' heroine is not a part of the film. She is very much doing 'Valmiki'.

The cinematography is by Ayananka Bose. The comedy-drama is produced by Gopi Achanta and Ram Achanta of 14 Reels Plus.
