Varalakshmi learns another dance form

Chirpy lass Varalakshmi who will be donning the lead female role in National award winning director BalaÂs next film ÂTharai Thappattai has revealed that she will be playing a ÂKarakam dancer in the flick (Karakam is a traditional dance form in Tamilnadu).
Varalakshmi has been taking up Karakam training for the past one month and she says she has been doing research on ÂKarakam; dancers in order to carry the role with perfection.I play a Karakattam dancer in the film and so have a dance tutor. Though I am dancer, this dance form is difficult to master. I am also doing research on such dancers. I have been watching videos on the art form and the artists. I have been getting to know how they lead their lives. I am sure my research will help me perfect my performance. I am also on a weight-loss programme for this filmÂ. Varu has said in a recent interview.
Varalakshmi has not signed any other project after signing for ÂTharai ThappattaiÂ. Though it will take time for the film to go on floors, Varu has already started devoting her full time to work on the role offered by Bala.
