Varalaskhmi Sarathkumar and Vishal have been one of the closest friends in Kollywood over the years so much so that there were even rumours about a possible romance between them which they both never acknowledged publicly.  There was a time when Varu even stood by Vishal when he took on her dad in the Nadigar Sangam elections that happened in 2015.

However things have fallen out between Vishal and Varu and recently she slammed him for pulling up her father's name in an election campaign video.  Read : Varalaxmi angry at Vishal - says he's not a saint and calls his video cheap!

On Sunday newspersons were after Varu when she came in to vote and asked her which faction would emerge victorious the Pandavar Ani speah headed by Vishal or the K. Bhagyaraj led Swami Sankaradas Ani.  Varu's tongue in cheek reply was "Truth will prevail...may the best team win and all the best to both the teams".

Vishal released a video on June 21st in which the achievements of his Pandavar Ani has been showcased and on his twitter account he had captained the video as "Truth will prevail...We Stand by Truth".  Netizens are of the opinion that Varu trolled Vishal by using the same phrase during the elections press meet.
