The news of a hearing impaired girl who was raped by 22 men over 7 months in a Chennai apartment complex has shocked everyone. As of now, 18 of the 22 criminals have been nabbed by the police.

Pertaining to this, actress Varalaxmi expressed her anguish and called on for death penalty for the ‘monsters’ who engaged in the act. “Makes me sick to my stomach..Will this barbarism never end?” she questioned in her social post.

She also stated that death penalty was the only way that fear could be instilled in criminals. "#DeathPenaltyforrape minor or major is the only way to instill fear in demons like these men..so many young lives are being lost n violated cos of these monsters...time for change NOWWW..,” she stated.
