Looks like it will be a busy weekend for Kerala movie buffs as two of Mollywood's much-awaited movies - 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' and 'Varane Avashyamund' - are hitting the screens this Friday.
Varane Avashyamund
The multi-starrer 'Varane Avashyamund' is directed by Sathyan Anthikkad's son Anoop Sathyam. The movie features Dulquer Salmaan, Suresh Gopi, Shobana, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. 'Varane Avashyamund' marks the reunion of Suresh Gopi and Shobana after a gap of 14 years. Known for their number of best performances in the 1990s was last seen in the 2005 flick 'Makalku'.
Touted to be a complete family entertainer, the movie also stars KPAC Lalithaa, Lalu Alex, Major Ravi and Johny Antony. 'Varane Avashyamund' is being bankrolled by Dulquer Salman under his banner Wayfarer Films, along with M Star Entertainments. The music of the film has been composed by Alphonse Joseph.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum
Actors Prithviraj-Biju Menon starrer ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ is directed by Sachy. Based on the trailer, 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' revolves around the enmity between ex-Army veteran Koshy Kurien (played by Prithviraj) and no-nonsense cop Ayyappan Nair (essayed by Biju). 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' also features actors like Ranjith, Anna Rajan, Sabumon Abdusamad, Gowri Nandha, Shaju Sreedhar, and Anu Mohan among others in pivotal roles.
Sudeep Elamon of ‘Pathinettam Padi’ and ‘Finals’ fame is the cinematographer. The songs and background score are composed by Jakes Bejoy. 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' is jointly produced by Ranjith and PM Sasidharan under the banner Gold Coin Motion Pictures
