Dil Raju is a prominent producer in the Telugu film industry. His production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, is entering the Kollywood arena with Thalapathy Vijay's next movie, 'Varisu'. It is a well-known fact that Varisu is clashing with Ajith Kumar's 'Thunivu' at the box office on January 12th.

The promotional activities for both films are progressing at a brisk phase. Recently, Dil Raju made a controversial statement regarding Vijay and Ajith's stardom in Tamil Nadu during a media interaction. The producer said that he is unhappy with the 50:50 screen allocation for Varisu & Thunivu because Vijay is a bigger star than Ajith. He added that he is going to meet minister Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies and demand for more screens.

Dil Raju's speech landed him in trouble as fans and netizens started to troll him. Also, many from the film industry shared that a senior producer shouldn't have made such a comparison. So, the producer has now come up with a clarification. Speaking at a movie event in Hyderabad, Dil Raju expressed unhappiness over his controversial speech. He clarified that he had talked about many advantages of both Ajith and Vijay but only the 15-second clip is being speculated from the 45-minute interview.

The producer added that he is going to be more careful while talking to the media hereafter. Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, stars Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Thaman has composed the musical score for the movie which has camera work by Karthick Palani and editing by Praveen KL. The grand audio launch event of the film will take place on December 24 in Nehru Stadium, Chennai with the fans of Thalapathy.
