Director Vasanthabalan is known for making critically acclaimed films in the Tamil industry. The National award-winning director's long-awaited movie 'Jail' starring GV Prakash Kumar and Aparnathi in lead roles is ready for release and is locked to hit the big screens soon.

Currently, Vasanthabalan is working on a film with Arjun Das and Dushara Vijayan in lead roles. The shooting of Aneethi is taking place in and around Chennai. The makers of the venture have finally announced the title today on the auspicious day of Vinayagar Chaturthi. A special title teaser was released along with the announcement of the title.

The movie is titled 'Aneethi', and the first look teaser has been launched by Sivakarthikeyan and PC Sreeram on their respective Twitter handles. The intense teaser featured Arjun Das knocking down a wooden door and revealing his face onscreen covered with blood. The shot in the teaser video reminds the iconic shot from Stanley Kubrick's cult classic 'The Shining' starring jack Nicholson.

The next schedule of 'Aneethi' will be commencing soon, and the film is expected to hit the big screens earlier in 2022. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring music for Aneethi. His background score in the promo was breathtaking. Vasantabalan is also jointly producing the film with his school friends under the banner Urban Boyz Studios.
