Everything about the humble hero is on the tune of mass. Now comes the next big treat from Thala, his 56th movie, 'Vedhalam'. In keeping with today's trend, the action thriller credits the youth icon Anirudh, for music. Here is the list we can't wait to listen to.

Aaluma Doluma
Voices: Anirudh, Baadshah
Lyrics: Rokesh

The first song opens in the thick of hustle. Tearing the honks and jam, jumps in Anirudh's voice in quintessential local Madras slang. The rendition is so colloquial that it takes a few listening to figure out the exact meaning. The song uses keys, trumpets and to an extensive extent, drums. This is a racy dance number, compelling you to get up and tap your feet. Given Anirudh, there is a tint of rap and shades of western touch to the entire gana feeling. The song, on the whole, gives a feeling of fearless brave lad, singing his knowledge in according confidence.

Don't You Mess With Me
Voices: Shurthi Hassan, Shakthisree Gopalan
Lyrics: Karky

In sharp contrast to the first song, this one is a typical pop number. Stepping aside from the tradition, this song is sung by two women, but in praise of the protagonist, a man. The song is a descriptive note of the hero in the first stanza, and an awestruck note in the second. This track uses dubstep beats, and has a pinch of metal touch, given Shruthi's bold, standalone voice. The song wraps up in the same pace and mood, but with a little twist, adding jathi, in the final few seconds alone. On a keen observation, you would figure out why you shouldn't mess with this man.

The Theri Theme
Voice: Anirudh
Lyrics: Siva

Trust Anirudh, when it is a matter of theme music. And when it is for the Thala himself, this theme is 'Theri' in every respect. The dubstep beats and rising thumps, pumps up adrenaline, multiple notches. With a few feeble words in the background, and setting the mood overall for a power-packed experience, this theme is aptly titled 'The Theri Theme'.

Uyir Nadhi Kalangudhae
Voice: Ravishankar
Lyrics: Viveka

The first slow paced number of the album opens with heavy beats, and is a song of adulation yet confusion, reinstating confidence. While the first two stanzas flow gradual, the last one minute picks up pace, and combines beats to form boosted levels of confidence and bravery. It is only in the last stanza that the song renders the title lines. The song finally wraps up in thoughtful guitar notes.

Veera Vinayaka
Voices: Anirudh, Vishal Dadlani
Lyrics: Viveka

This song begins as a devotional number on Lord Ganesha, pepped up with electric guitar and modern beats. The second stanza speaks of winning the masses, and non violence, but in swag. The song at large, however, is one of celebration, vesting faith in the almighty Vinayaka. The bhajan-like song takes on a racy pace towards the end, with faster beats. On the whole, the song is a stylish devotional number.

With only a few weeks left for its release, 'Vedhalam' is gathering confidence and anticipation. To ice the hot cake, here is the power-packed album from Anirudh, as a guarantee of a "theri" experience!
