Director VV Vinayak has been known for his mass entertainers filled with hero elevation sequences and typical commercial elements, had last scored a success with the 2017 flick Khaidi No 150, the remake of Tamil Superhit Kaththi, that had Megastar Chiranjeevi making his return to films after a gap with a blockbuster comeback.

With Khaidi being a remake, VV Vinayak's last original success happens to be Naayak with Ramcharan, way back in 2013, as his other directorial ventures Akhil which was the launchpad of Akhil Akkineni, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas debut Alludu Seenu and his 2018 release Intelligent with Sai Dharam Tej, turned out to be damp squibs.

While Nandamuri Balakrishna was earlier supposed to join hands with VV Vinayak for a movie that will be bankrolled by C Kalyan (who had earlier produced Jai Simha and Intelligent), buzz is that since the actor has given his nod to work with Boyapati Srinu, now VV Vinayak is planning to rope in Venkatesh for his next. Venkatesh has been of late been seen in multistarrers like F2 Fun and Frustration and Venky Mama. and it is to be seen if this combo of VV Vinayak and Venky will materialize.
