It has been 100 days since the closure of theatres due to the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, and Sibiraj's Walter, Vikram Prabhu's Asuraguru and Harish Kalyan's Dharalaprabhu were the last few movies that released in theatres.

Many movies have opted for OTT release, and some of the movies like Ponmagal Vandhaal, Penguin have already premiered. Now another upcoming movie which has Venkat Prabhu playing a key role is all set to have its OTT premiere.

The digital rights of Lockup directed by debutant SG Charles and produced by actor Nithin Sathya has been acquired by Zee 5 and the movie's direct OTT release date will be announced soon. Lockup which has Venkat Prabhu playing a villain, stars Vaibhav and Vani Bhojan in lead roles.
