Famous actor turned filmmaker Venkat Prabhu and singer turned actor Premgi Amaran are the fun brother duo of Kollywood. They are elder and younger sons of veteran Tamil music director, lyricist, singer, writer, film director and actor Gangai Amaran, who is the younger brother of the legendary composer Ilayaraja.

Now, a childhood video of Venkat Prabhu and Premji is currently going viral on social networking websites. Music Maestro Ilayaraja headlined the IMN Film Musical Festival that took place in Singapore in April 1988. Gangai Amaran hosted and performed in the show while Ilayaraja, SP Balasubhramanyam, KS Chithra performed alongside him.

Gangai Amaran presented his little boys Prabhu and Prem to perform a song while Ilayaraja's elder boy Karthik Raja play the instruments for them. Venkat and Premgi rendered the song "Pallikoodam Pogama" from the 1987 film "Ini Oru Sudhanthiram" which had music and lyrics by Gangai Amaran himself.

Surprisingly, Venkat Prabhu and Premgi made their singing debut with the same song using the names "Prabhu Gangai Amaran" and "Prem Gangai Amaran", respectively. They were the actual singers of the 'Pallikoodam Pogama' song. The video of the live performance of the duo's debut song is doing rounds on the internet after three decades.
