Venkatesh's 'Guru' release date finalized

'Guru', the Telugu remake of 'Saala Khadoos' ('Irudhi Suttru' in Tamil), is all done with the shoot. The film is written and directed by Sudha Kongara, the one who directed the original.
After the post-production works, the drama will hit the screens on Jan 26, locking horns with 'Balam', the Telugu dubbed version of Hrithik Roshan's 'Kabil'.
Presented by Prasad V Potluri, 'Guru' has Ritika Singh playing Venky's disciple Mumtaz Sorcar, Nasser, Radha Ravi, Zakir Hussain, and Kaali Venkat, among others, are part of the cast. Ritika is a huge Pawan Kalyan fan in the movie. The much-happening Harshavardhan has been roped in as the dialogue-writer.
Music is by Santosh Narayanan of 'Kabali' fame. Cinematography is by KA Sakthivel. Editing is by Sathish Surya. Art direction is by Jacki. Stunts are by Stunner Sam.
