Controversial astrologer Venu Swamy issued an open apology to the Telangana Women's Commission for the comments he made against actor Naga Chaitanya and his wife Shobita Dhulipala. When Chaitanya and Shobita were engaged, Venu Swamy said that their marriage wouldn't last long and they would get separated soon just like how Chaitanya got separated with Samantha.
Telugu Film Journalists Association filed a complaint at Telangana Women's Commission against Venu Swamy for making such vile comments against the newly engaged couple. The commission issued notices to Venu Swamy regarding this complaint. To evade questioning, he resorted to the High Court to quash the notices.
However, the High Court ordered him to appear before the commission at any cost. After the High Court's order, the Women's Commission issued notices to Venu Swamy once again.
Today, Venu Swamy appeared before the commission and withdrew his statements. He also issued an open apology for his words. The commission warned him not to pass such statements once again.
