Court verdict for popular actor kidnap case

Verdict after 18 years in actor kidnapped by Veerappan case

After 18 long years, a court in Erode will deliver the verdict in the case related to the abduction of Kannada actor Rajkumar and four others by Veerappan. Actually, on July 30, 2000, Rajkumar along with three others was abducted by Veerappan and his associates while attending a housewarming ceremony in Dhodda Gajanur village. 

The actor was held captive in the jungle for 108 days and was released on November 15, 2000. A police case was registered against 14 persons pertaining to this following which the case was transferred to the Coimbatore CB-CID. The court has ordered the 9 accused to be present in the court today and it is highly expected that Judge Mani will deliver the verdict today for the case.
