Vested interests trying to defame me: Navya Nair

Navya Nair was recently caught in a controversy. A section of media carried reports stating that the actress had lodged a scathing attack at Tamil film directors while speaking at a function in Thiruvananthapuram recently.
It resulted in few film personalities in Kollywood condemning the actress for her alleged remarks.
However, when contacted, Navya Nair denied the reports as baseless and false. She said, she owes all her success in Tamil to good directors with whom she has so far worked.
ÂIn a short span of time, I happened to do quality films and managed a good fan-following. Unable to digest my growth, few vested interests have let loose such false news'.
