Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh passes away at 65

The year has ended on a very sad note for Bollywood. Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh reported to have passed away.

Aged 65, the ‘Chashme Baddoor’ famed actor said to have suffered from heart attack while attending a concert in Dubai, on 27th December. According to sources, his body will be flown to Mumbai after clearing all legal formalities in Dubai.

Quite shocked over his sudden demise, B-Town celebrities - his colleagues, actors young and old - all expressed their disbelief as well as grief on social networking site. Among which are as follows:

Amitabh Bachchan - Farooq Sheikh !! Cannot believe he has gone. There was an absence of any kind of pretence in his demeanour, or towards his work !! The megastar also called the late actor ‘a true gentleman and wonderful colleague’.

Boman Irani - Farooq Sheikh passes away! Shocked, numbed and saddened. Was supposed to be shooting with him today. A gentleman actor is no more! Shot with him last month. Had the warmest conversation & were to meet here in Indore today. Was to join us from Dubai. Alvida Farooq Saab.

Madhur Bhandarkar - Deeply saddened to hear about Farooq Sheikh. Will miss his warmth, acting skills & gentlemanly demeanour.RIP sir.
