The film industry has been struck by yet another tragedy, still reeling from the recent passing of director Bharathiraja's son Manoj. Today, the industry mourns the loss of veteran actor Ravikumar, who passed away in Chennai at the age of 75.

Originally from Kerala, Ravikumar had a prolific career spanning across both Tamil and Malayalam cinema. He appeared in over 100 Malayalam films and played leading and character roles in several Tamil films. His memorable performances can be seen in films like Ramana, Maran, Whistle, Sivaji, Vyapari, and Malabar Police.

Ravikumar had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Velachery due to ongoing health issues. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he passed away earlier today.

Colleagues, fans, and members of the film fraternity have been expressing their condolences and paying tribute to the late actor, remembering him for his versatility, dedication, and lasting impact on South Indian cinema.
