Senior-most director of photography V Jayaram is no more. The technician, known for blockbusters such as 'Pelli Sandadi', was undergoing treatment for coronavirus. He was to undergo surgery for a complication.

In his career spanning decades, Jayaram teamed up with star directors like K Raghavendra Rao and Dasari Narayana Rao in Telugu. He worked on the movies of the likes of NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Superstar Krishna in the first generation, besides cranking the camera for the movies featuring big actors of the previous generation, such as Megastar Chiranjeevi.

He not only did Telugu movies but was also sought-after in the Malayalam film industry. Jayaram was the DoP for a lot of movies featuring the likes of Complete Actor Mohanlal, Megastar Mammootty, and Suresh Gopi.

Jayaram was sought-after mainly because of his agility and ability to complete things fast. He used to man the camera department with utmost finesse and was adept at canning challenging scenes/fights.

A number of cinematographers have taken inspiration from his impeccable works over the decades. He has left behind a large number of cine students who will continue to learn from his works.

Survived by his wife and two children, Jayaram's demise has saddened the film industry. IndiaGlitz condoles the passing away of the senior talent!
