Veteran stars for 'Vasool Raja...'

The cast of "Vasool Raja, M.B.B.S.", the Tamil remake of Bollywood hit "Munnabhai M.B.B.S.", is finally taking shape, after a couple of reshuffles.

The film is being shot at record speed for a mid-August release.

Former ace comedian and current character actor Nagesh has quietly replaced well-known film director K. Balachander in the role of Kamal Haasan's father in the film.

Rohini Hattangadi, who played the hero's mother in the Hindi version, is cast in the same role in this Tamil version too.

Dhanush was initially expected to play a cancer patient with a significant part in the script. But Jay Surya has replaced the actor who has been specializing in adolescent roles.
