Vicky Kaushal opens up about his shelved films Takht and The Immortal Ashwatthama

Vicky Kaushal is undeniably one of the most skilled and popular stars of this generation. His last outing 'Sardar Udham' was a huge success and even now he has at least six exciting project under production. However, during the pandemic two of Vicky's big budget and ambitious projects 'Takht' and 'The Immortal Ashwatthama' were shelved.

During his recent appearance on 'Koffee With Karan', the actor opened up about these missed opportunities. Vicky stated, "Both of them were because of covid reasons. It actually wasn’t so difficult because it had such genuine and logistical reasons. It was nothing like being emotionally involved that this is not working. Both the projects were in a great space but it was just a different time for both the projects to go on floors. I remember when it was for ‘Ashwatthama’, I was shooting for ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ with Shashank and I got a call that the were pulling the plug on the film for now."

He further added, "I actually had my trainer with me and I told him, ‘Let’s hit the gym and I told him to give me the most difficult workout’. That was the film which I had given two years to, in terms of prep and we were really close to start shooting."

However, Vicky doesn't let these missed opportunities take any emotional toll on him. He says, “It just stays with me for one day because after a few hours I see the logic behind it and start seeing sense in it. So I stop feeling emotional about it. I always miss it, crave for it but it never sends me in a space where I feel gloomy about it."
