The Tamil action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, premiered in theaters on February 6, 2025. Inspired by the 1997 American film Breakdown, it was produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions. The movie stars Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian. Known for its gripping narrative, Vidaamuyarchi has gained significant attention.

Netflix has secured the streaming rights for the film, which will be available from March 3, 2025. It will be released in Tamil along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Vidaamuyarchi Storyline

The story follows Arjun, a professional from Chennai, and Kayal, a Tbilisi native, who reconnect and get engaged. Their relationship struggles after a miscarriage and Kayal’s affair. On their way to her parents’ home for a divorce, they encounter a dangerous gang, leading to a series of kidnappings and betrayals. Arjun bravely fights against the criminals to rescue Kayal, bringing them back together.

Ajith Kumar plays Arjun, with Trisha Krishnan as Kayal and Arjun Sarja as Rakshith. The movie also features Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian. Magizh Thirumeni directed the film, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. Om Prakash handled cinematography, and NB Srikanth was the editor. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film includes contributions from several skilled technicians, ensuring a high-quality cinematic experience.
