Fame Movies' earlier films were 'Aa Naluguru' and 'Vinayakdu'. Keeping up with its tradition of producing films made on a shoestring budget but trying to reach out to all kinds of audience, they are coming up with yet another family and romantic entertainer. Titled Vidheyudu, the film is directed by Meera, who was a disciple of Prabhu Deva and Gunashekar.

Vidheyudu stars Nandu and Rachana Malhotra in the lead. The various emotional entanglements associated with love will be explored by the film, the director avers. Even as the film captures the romantic affair of Nandu and Rachana, it will also tell the relationship shared by Nandu with his father.

In Telugu, Vidheyudu literally means 'loyalist.' It is to be seen if the son will be confused between his loyalty for the father and love for his girl in the film and that's what will lead to an emotional battle within him.

The film is produced by Sarita Patra.
