Kartik Aaryan's upcoming horror comedy flick 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2' has been in the making for quite some time and it has faced several roadblocks in the way as well. However, there has been a recent development which might make the film even more appealing for the audience. 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2' might have Vidya Balan reprising her role of Manjulika from the first film.

'Bhool Bhulaiya' was released in 2007 and it had an ensemble cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri among others but was Vidya Balan's performance as the possessed courtroom dancer Manjulika which stole the show. According to a recent report in Koimoi, a source shared, "Their (Vidya and Anees) equation goes back to 2011 when Vidya made a cameo appearance in Anees’s film Thank You. She made the character of Monjulika, a ghost of a royal dancer, memorable. [It is not clear if] Vidya will be seen dancing to Aami je tomar again or appear after the climax.”

Talking about this, director Anees Bazmee said, "If the film is Bhool Bhulaiyaa, she (Vidya Balan as Monjulika) has to be there in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Let the rest be a surprise!”
