'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' and 'Poda Podi'- A rare coincidence

Director Vignesh Sivan is a household name today thanks to the success of his recent film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'. The Vijay Sethupathi-Nayanthara starrer has been adjudged as one of the most entertaining films of the year, by critics and fans alike.
'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' which released on October 21 is celebrating its 25th day run at the box office and the film has retained an amazing number of screen count even after the Deepavali rush with biggies 'Vedalam' and 'Thoongavanam'.
Interestingly today (November 13,2015) marks the completion of three years of ;Vignesh Sivan's debut film 'Poda Podi' with Silambarasan and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. The rom-com is still a favourite of a considerable number of youngsters and Simbu fans. Though the film which released after a very long delay did not get huge collections it was well enough to announce the entry of a creative and smart filmmaker like 'Vignesh Sivan.
