Vijay, who was last seen on screen in the political entertainer Sarkar directed by AR Murugadoss, has since then been shooting for his next movie, tentatively named as Thalapathy 63, directed by Atlee, marking their third collaboration after Theri and Mersal. This movie is produced by AGS Entertainments.

As per latest reports, popular distribution house Screen Scene entertainments, which has released some of the most notable films of the year like Thadam, Sarvam Thaala Mayam. Ayogya, Natpe Thunai and Devi 2, which was holding talks with AGS for quite sometime, has bagged the theatrical rights of Thalapathy 63 for a massive price.

It has been said that the announcement on TN rights being sold will be out along with the first look poster of the movie which will be out as Vijay's birthday special. Thalapathy 63 also stars Lady Superstar Nayanthara, Kathir, Indhuja, Reba Monica John, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Varsha Bollamma and has music by AR Rahman.
