'Thalapathy 61'- Commencement and Release plans

As we had reported earlier Ilayathalatphy Vijay's 61st film will be directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films banner. The official announcement on the project came a couple of days ago.

Vijay is presently busy dubbing for his character in 'Bairavaa' which has been scheduled for a Pongal 2017 release.

Now we learn that the much loved star will start shooting for 'Thalapathy 61' from February 2017. The source also adds that the makers are planning to release the film as a Diwali 2017 treat.

The last Vijay starrer to hit the screens for the grand festival of lights is 'Kaththi' which released for 2014 Diwali.
