After starring in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam released on 2018 Pongal, actor Suriya had been working on two projects, the Selvaraghavan directorial political thriller NGK and the action packed thriller Kaappaan directed by his Ayan and Maattrraan maker KV Anand, and now both the movies are gearing up for release.

It was announced that NGK, which will have Suriya playing a young politician Nandha Gopalan Kumaran will be releasing worldwide on May 31. Following this announcement, another movie has reportedly decided to shift its release date and it happens to be the multilingual project Dear Comrade.

Starring Tollywood young hero Vijay Deverakonda and Karthi's next movie heroine Rashmika Mandanna, this movie was announced initially as May 31 release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, but following NGK release announcement and Suriya's craze in south considered, the makers of Dear Comrade are reportedly planning to push the movie to June 6.
