Vijay Deverakonda to fight like a 'Fighter'

Vijay Deverakonda's flick with Puri Jagannadh is no more an untitled project. The unofficial yet reliable news is that the film has been titled 'Fighter'.
When Puri pitched the title, the 'Dear Comrade' star immediately okayed it. It's apt for the story and also the kind of image that VD has tried to carve for himself. He always talks about how he has always been a fighter in an industry where he has got no Godfather, a source says.
The action drama (in which the hero is a martial arts expert) will go on the floors probably early next year. Puri would have been ready by October or November but since the 'Geetha Govindam' actor is committed to other assignments, the production works have been pushed to next year, the source adds.
Produced by Charmme and Puri, 'Fighter' is expected to be a grand Summer 2020 release.
